Flounder

Eastside Road, June 26, 2010—
TO MARKET THIS MORNING, it being Saturday; dinner tonight from the market — flounder from The Fish Guy, Dave Legro, an exceedingly interesting fellow who someone should write about one of these days. Lindsey dredged it in flour and pan-fried it in butter and olive oil, and we squeezed lemon juice on it; that and a bit of salt was all it needed — delicate and firm, a very nice plat principal. With it, young favas and English peas; afterward, green salad, then some nice Brie; then angel food cake — I forgot to mention that last night — with peaches and strawberries. It's a nice season!
